Two months back one of my close friends paid me a surprise visit. It was really a pleasant experience meeting him after two long years. During these two years I have progressed in my advertising job while he has progressed in his family business. His main intention of the visit was to consult me regarding the promotion of the new retail wing of his family business. His prime concern was that as he has been doing business primarily in the field of FMCG manufacturing, are customers going to accept his new retail wing.
We discussed on the advertising opportunities that we can use. We thought that as television would be redundant in this small town we would have to look for print media for publicity. I told him that vinyl banners would be just the right option for him. These courtesy of their durability and excellent picture quality would never fade and would be capable of conveying the messages to a larger audience. Once we finalized that we are going to use vinyl banners we decided that we would also be using poster frames and light box as the secondary advertising media. These would help in guiding and attracting customers to the showroom and once the entire idea is success we would do it on an even larger platform.
He fully stuck to the plans and now two months later he proudly stands within the top 20 retail outlets of the town. Now with money to invest he is planning to re-launch the advertising campaign. I am sure that he is not very far away from the number one spot.
